The Geisha Boy: Jerry, an inept warlock, voyages to Japan with catastrophic repercussions. Cast includes Jerry Lewis, Marie McDonald, Sessue Hayakawa, Nobu McCarthy, Suzanne Pleshette, Barton MacLane, and Robert Hirano. (98 minutes, 1958)

The Pink Panther: Steve Martin tries to duplicate the magic that Peter Sellers put into the part of Inspector Jacques Clouseau. This bumbling French detective seems to make a mess out of any situation he finds himself in. In spite of this he always ends up putting the criminals behind bars.

Alaska: Adolescent venture on a grand scale, as a brother and sister take off looking for their dad and his downed plane. Structured like an old B movie melodrama, however implemented with conviction contrary to magnificent, snowy landscape and characterizing an irresistible polar bear who befriends the youngsters. Heston, whose child prompted the drama, plays a mean, cunning old man. Cast includes Thora Birch, Vincent Kartheiser, Dirk Benedict, Charlton Heston, Duncan Fraser, and Gordon Tootoosis. Austin Powers in Goldmember: Austin is back, and this time he faces not only Dr. Evil, but also a new threat in Goldmember. Dr. Evil is traveling through, and Austin is on the chase. He must save his father Nigel from being captured by Dr. Evil.

Promises Promises: Horrible comedy in regards to couples Mansfield-Noonan and McDonald-Hargitay, and their sensual shenanigans on a voyage. It is famous in its night for Jayne’s baring her body, a first for its time. Still, take heed: it is a genuinely poor film. Cast includes Jayne Mansfield, Marie McDonald, Tommy Noonan, Mickey Hargitay, Fritz Feld, Matjorie Bennett, and Imogene Coca. (75 minutes, 1963)
