To Do List While on HCG Diet

Posted by: Clint Westfall   in Health and Well Being

One of the main questions that gets discussed by potential HCG dieters is, “What do I do while I’m on the diet?” It pops up constantly. And it’s always fun to give the same old answers.

1. Complete your work as usual. You are fully capable of functioning at work. Go and complete your job requirements as normal so you can continue to depend upon a steady paycheck. HCG won’t inhibit your ability to perform at top levels in your career.

2. Eat with your family. Don’t let being on the HCG diet disrupt sitting down together as a family to have dinner. Make a recipe from the cookbook that they’ll enjoy such as the very lean roast or the chili or the soup. There are a lot of recipes that receive high accolades from kids and spouses alike.

3. Go out with your friends. Don’t avoid all social gatherings. Once you get used to the plan you’ll find that at almost any gathering or restaurant you can choose healthy items that are HCG appropriate. For instance, order a raw vegetable salad with the dressing on the side. Drink a lot of water with lemon.

4. Eat sweets! Did I just say eat sweets? Yes, you are able to eat sweet foods while on the HCG diet. Some of the very first desserts were absolutely natural. Try indulging in the HCG Diet Direct cookbook’s Warm Cinnamon Apple. It’s HCG diet approved and yummy to boot!

So…now that you’ve noted the sarcasm of the above to do list you’ll be able to come to the appropriate conclusion that there is not a limited number of approved activities just because there are a limited number of calories allowed on the HCG diet. You just need to stick to your guns when it comes to exactly what you eat and go about your daily life as if nothing is happening. (Although you’ll have to field all those difficult compliments as the weight drops off!)

Amelia Handley majored in exercise science at university with a minor in Nutrition. Yet she still found herself veering from diet to diet trying to control her size. With HCG Diet Direct she’s found a program that allows her to combine her desire to control her own body weight with her education and obtain balance.

Writing Your Own Poetry

Posted by: Dynal Thompson   in Entertainment

Current, the ‘free verse’ style of poetry is the most popular. In the late 19th century, Walt Whitman is credited with originating the form. Before his time, poetry was restricted to certain rhyming schemes and forms.

Scansion is the analyzing of pattern, rhyme and meter in formal poetry. Commonly, a letter is placed at the end of the last word in each line. Usually starting with A then B and so on….

Using letter to signify the rhymes is a great way to determine the pattern. If line one and two rhyme, an A would be placed beside them. If line three and four rhyme with each other but not one and two, we would place B’s beside them. The pattern would be AABB. If line 5 rhymes with either, an A or B would be used. If it does not phyme, we would use a C.

Meter is the number of beats in each line. The beat most commonly used is “Iambic pentameter’. Individual beats consist of a short and strong pulse. Words with this beat are arrest, domain, forsooth, etc. The second syllable is accented.

Time for the fun stuff! When you tell stories or write letters, how do you start? Is it maybe something you overheard, or read about? Or maybe something you witnessed? Start with something that is comfortable to you.

What kind of poem are you going to write? Would you like to do a character study or a story? The best thing to do is go through some examples. This will give you some ideas. Don’t worry if you get a “writer’s block.” The best way to get past it is to take a break and come back the next day. Keep a pen and paper with you, something may come to you if your out.

Good poems take weeks and sometimes months to come up with. Don’t rush it. If your stuck, take a break for a few days and come back. Don’t re-read the entire draft, simply begin with the last line in your poem. You can surprise yourself.
