Each day in the lives of the workers comes some level of stress or fatigue. This is inevitable especially in this fast-paced society that we live in. As we progress, our schedule becomes hectic and our lifestyles are becoming complicated.

Studies and survey show that 70% of the workers said that their job is very stressful. Stress, being the topmost cause of disability, costs employers billions of dollars a year because of low productivity and healthcare expenses.

Many employers of today have come to realize the very need of controlling and minimizing such losses which are rooted on disability caused by stress.

In fact, stress management data, information and tips proliferate in bookstores and most especially in the World Wide Web. A host of information can be sought in different websites which offer both employees and employers great and valuable recommendations and suggestions in combating stress.

One of the solutions that some companies or employers have tried on is offering free massage to their employees on a regular basis. More and more employees are realizing that giving their employees some stress relief in the form of a regular massage at the workplace could offer manifolds of returns. This is often termed as onsite/corporate massage where massage therapists go to a place to perform a 15-minute massage”be it seated massage or a full table massage. This type of massage can be performed at the local malls, at homes, offices, conventions and other events.

Regular massage, as they say, reduces not only the physical but also the mental effects of stress, hence, diseases or ailments related to burnout or stress are minimized as well. Quite a number of companies now practice this so that workers and staff would be able to increase their productivity as well as boost their morale.

What about Noni Juice?

Posted by: Frank Smith   in Health and Well Being

by Frank Smith

The scientific name of noni is morinda citrifolia and more commonly as noni, beach mulberry, Indian mulberry, or great morinda, among others. The tree on which the noni fruit grows is native to Southeast Asia, but has been spread extensively through Asia and Pacific Islands.

The plant produces fruit all year around. The fruit starts out green, but matures to a yellow or almost white color. The pungent odor of the ripened fruit gives rise to the less than appealing name such as “cheese fruit”. The noni plant is a hardy plant capable of growing in a wide variety of habitats.

More recently, overzealous promotion has led to a similar range of claims. One website claimed that noni juice benefits and uses include inhibiting “pre-cancer function and growth of cancer tumors!” On the same website, a man claimed that after only 3 weeks of drinking noni, his arthritis was gone and he was no longer impotent.

So what is the truth about noni juice?

What is the nutritional content of Noni Juice – What is in noni? What are the vitamin, minerals, and antioxidants that make it so helpful?

Noni Juice benefits and uses – You’ve heard the claims, but what can you really expect? Can it reduce cholesterol? Are there any side effects that you should be aware of? What scientific research has been done?

Noni Juice products – How do you pick which juice to buy? What should you look for in a quality product? Does it matter whether the fruit comes from Hawaii, Samoa or French Polynesia? Does the processing method matter?

How much should you pay for noni juice? – Does price always equal quality? What would a fair price be for a quality product? Is it pushed by a multi-level company?

Japanese Cosplay Characters and Costumes

Posted by: M. Kiromi   in Shopping

The twenty first century has brought a new meaning to Japanese cosplay globally. Cosplay originated in Japan, and today many Japanese think this practice is silly. The younger Japanese generation have given a whole new meaning to cosplay, introducing parties as well as clubs that are dedicated to cosplay.

You become a specified character in order to become a cosplayer. The sky is the limit, if you can dream it you can become it. Cosplaying is about having fun.

Competitions and festivals are held worldwide, with emphasis particularly in Japan each year where people gather to exhibit their exquisite Japanes cosplay costumes as well as viewing other cosplayer’s costumes, most of the costumes being handmade and others ordered to specification from shops specializing in costumes.

Tailors and seamstresses are now cashing in on this opportunity and make excellent livings from the Japanese cosplayer fanatics. Costumes are made to specification even down to the finest details of the character portrayed; nothing is changed from the original item and design. The finer details are exact matches, like the thread used, ribbons, and colours and so on.

The Japanese cosplay industry has long been the home to professional cosplayers since the rise of Comiket the Tokyo Game Show, as well as other conventions, there is a misconception that cosplay is specific only to Japan. The term Cosplay is from Japanese origin but this flamboyant occupation is now supported by practicing fans globally.

Photographs can be taken of the cosplayers and submitted to soft erotic porn sites or magazines. This however has unfortunately created a negative connotation towards Japanese cosplay.

Japanese cosplay originated in Japan, and majority of cosplay still takes place in Japan. Cosplay is considered to be typical behaviour in Japan, and has spread across the globe just as anime has becoming a popular hobby and various print media features cosplayers.

However there are costumes worn without any conviction by Japanese cosplayers that westerners would not consider wearing as it would be culturally not correct like a Nazi uniform or any other uniforms worn by dictators in the past. Japanese cosplay does not only cover specified role playing but covers all kinds of obsessive fandom.

Cartoon character scrub uniforms are not only practical and comfortable to wear for all job-related tasks. They also, more importantly, help the child relate to you and feel more at ease in your presence. This is what makes this type of medical uniform a truly great innovation.

Every nurse and caregiver deals with two basic considerations at the moment of first encounter with children. First is how to make a good impression that would warm up the child and keep him away from throwing unnecessary tantrums of getting close with a total stranger.

The first impression defines the quality of relationship that would transpire for a considerable amount of time, and employers (parents or bosses in the hospitals) would look forward to the performance of the nurse in this first encounter with very discerning eyes. The problem is, there is very little preparation that can be done, such that as a nurse, you cannot anticipate the kind of behavior a child has until the point of actually meeting him.

In this case, cartoon character scrub uniforms can be of help – the cartoon characters can help induce the imagination of the child. The outfit can create the impression that both of you have similar interests, and that you can relate to the playful mind of the child. It can be a start-off of a genuine bonding.

The second consideration is how to look decent and practicable enough for the tasks required. True enough, nurses have to look like nurses – it gives a certain image of authority, that you know what you are doing and therefore can be trusted with care of the child. But putting up this image balances out with the practical side of the work – probably running around, carrying several things at one time, sitting at uncomfortable positions to be able to play and jive with the energy of the child being taken care of. In this case, a medical scrub is definitely the best thing to wear.

So if you are faced with a similar situation, get yourself the best preparation you can have – cartoon character scrub uniforms.
