Highlighting Text With The Mouse In Microsoft Word

Before you can edit or format your text in Microsoft Word 2007, you need to highlight it. Highlighting the text is a way of telling Word that you want to work with a certain piece of text. (Highlighting is also referred to as selecting.)

The most straightforward way of highlighting text is to position the cursor where you want to start highlighting, click and hold the mouse button down and drag to the position where you want the highlight to end. It is not essential to drag across every single line that you want to highlight. It’s sufficient to move the mouse in a straight line from the start to the finish. To deselect your text and get rid of the highlight, click anywhere in the text. The blinking cursor will then reappear.

Selecting with multiple mouse clicks

Another way of highlighting text is to click multiple times. To highlight a word, double-click on the word. To highlight an entire paragraph, click three times on the paragraph. To highlight the entire document, click three times in the left margin.

Highlighting lines

Another simple way of highlighting text is to select the entire document. This is done with the Select All command. In Microsoft Word 2007 the Select All command is found in the Editing group of the Home Tab of the Ribbon. Click to obtain the drop-down menu; click on Select and then choose Select All. The Select All command is found in lots of programs and lots of environments. It can also be accessed via the keyboard using Control-a: that is to say, hold down the Control key while typing the letter “a”.

Link Building Using Press Releases

Include The Keyword Throughout Release Once you’ve identified a keyword, write out a rough draft of your press release, making sure to include the keyword throughout your release. The keyword should be included, at minimum, in the header of your press release, one to three times in the body of the release, and at least once in the “About” section of your press release.

Hyperlink Thoughtfully For press release services that allow you to include hyperlinks within the release, make sure to hyperlink from the keyword you identified instead of using non-optimized keywords like “click here.” While not all press release services allow html or hyperlinking, most will allow you to at least include a link back to your site in a resource or contact box, or once in the “about” section.

Consider Paying For The Upgrade Option If presented with the opportunity to upgrade, in most cases, do so. Upgrades generally offer you the opportunity to specify the anchor text of a hyperlink or in some cases, include a hyperlink that a free package doesn’t allow. Not all upgrades are created equally, though. Consider the page rank, traffic volume, trust factors, and cost when determining whether to upgrade or not.

Distribute Your Release to a Variety of Services When submitting press releases for link building purposes, don’t submit to just one service – instead submit to a variety. Some press release sites will check to make sure that your release is unique, however, so make sure to distribute to those sites first. Start with the quality sites that have a number of links and tend to be picked up by the press; also re-write some of the verbiage in your release so as to avoid duplicate content. Simple things like re-writing the header or a few sentences within the release can make sure that your release will be picked up by a number of services.

Place Your Press Release On Your Own Site And Link Internally Once you’ve submitted your press release to a few press release distribution services, you should also make sure that it has a home on your own web site. In a news or press release section of your site, upload your press release, then add in hyperlinks from the keywords in the release, linking to relevant pages on your site. While you shouldn’t overdo it on internal hyperlinking, three to four hyperlinks to relevant pages – from keywords – is fine.

Another tour de force is the Lexmark S 1620. Lexmark is a company that has a good history of manufacturing printers of a very high standard. The printer has originally been manufactured for additional durability and further expandability.

One of the things I noticed about the Lexmark S 1620 is that it’s a rather cost effective printer when compared to other printers that have similar features. Features alone, however, shouldn’t be your reason to buy the printer because what really needs to be looked at is print quality. After all, you don’t want a printer with tons of features but mediocre print quality.

Probably the best thing about a Lexmark S 1620 printer with compatible Lexmark S 1620 Toner Cartridge is that it’s far cheaper than all the other printers that have the same functions and features. Even though I believe that features and functions are not something you should primarily look at in a printer since a printer needs to be more about print quality than anything else.

The 1620 can store lots of paper, which means that you don’t have to sit around inserting paper every few hours. If you still think you will need to store more paper then you should use the optional Lexmark paper tray with the printer. It can be very frustrating when you want to print something out and your printer runs out of paper but with so much paper capacity you shouldn’t have to feel frustrated anymore.

This particular printer, however, does not really incorporate any cutting edge features. If I had to guess, it would be because it’s not very expensive. That doesn’t change the fact that it does the job of producing excellent prints. I went ahead and tested the printer using Lexmark S 1620 printer toner on a number of documents to see how it performed.

We began by testing the Lexmark printer by printing out a few text pages. The text came out crisp and bright so we decided to test it out on a few mixed pages i.e., a page in which text and graphics were mixed. The result of this was that the text reproduced fine except for a few minor problems with the graphics that made it seem washed out. Another thing was that the printer took a while to print out graphics, which is not a very good thing if you tend to do lots of graphic printing.

We wanted to also take the printer for a spin at its max resolutions. Before we could print the printer took awhile to warm up, but once it did the results were impressive and some of the text actually looked much better in higher resolutions. The printer didn’t slow down significantly, just a few seconds of a difference, however at times it printer as fast as when it was set at normal resolution.
